BAC gets a body, and keeps his old one

The first supplied model is BAC. That feels right: he was the first character
John made. The FBX arrived as a detailed static mesh, without a skeleton or
animation. We reduced it from almost 593,000 triangles to about 62,000, built a
19-bone rig and tied seven clips to the game's movement, danger, injuries and care.

The difficult part was the gap between hands and coat. Simple proximity weights
and automatic heat weights pulled the cloth toward the hands; the pose reviews
caught it before release. We moved to surface-geodesic weights, then reviewed
walking, attack and care from the front and side. This is a usable first gameplay
rig, with further grip, cloth and facial work still ahead of it.

The author asked us to keep the old bodies. They remain intact, with a launch
option to use the original party. We have not decided their eventual narrative
place. There is value in keeping the figures we first imagined, even as the new
ones become more physical. The save-free BAC visit makes that comparison easy.

The Windows build passed 203 application tests and strict lint checks. We also
checked the exported skin and clips directly, then reviewed hidden in-game
captures, including the original-model option and the Deck-sized layout. The
guard pose received one last wrist adjustment to keep the shield upright.
These are rendering and integration checks; the next Deck playtest still needs
to establish performance on the handheld itself.

October 19 ? A trailer about what we carry

The previous trailer still showed 0.29.0. The game now has stronger companion
presence, an anonymous trail and the possibility of giving and accepting care.
Those needed to be visible in the promise we make to a prospective player.

We kept the opening short: you played with your father, he has been gone ten
years, and something might remain. The middle earns the adventure through the
King's quest, the maze and enemy attacks. A matched green/modern view brings LAC
back; company and care make that return more than another collectible. None of
this uses the external artist's illustrations as if they were finished gameplay.

The new score starts with an exposed piano-like phrase and develops it through
strings, horns, bass and larger percussion. These are original synthesized
instruments. At the chair the action drops away. The newer anonymous recording
says that someone kept the other chair clear. It is a more particular ache than
repeating encouragement, and it still leaves the writer unnamed. The title
arrives after that breath, with the moving letters and fire the author liked.

The recent storage concern shaped production too. Each fresh capture is verified
and compressed before removing only this run's temporary frames. We preserve the
old edits and their footage. This is a trailer revision, not another executable
release or an excuse to regenerate the game's build cache.

The finished 80-second master passed full decoding and frame-count checks. We
reviewed every edited shot and the opening/title motion samples, then tightened
the chair crop so foreground armor would not obscure the empty place. The final
mix measures -15.40 LUFS with a -1.71 dBTP peak. These checks establish a clean
export; the author's listening and pacing review remains the creative test.

One figure per input

The model-generation handoff needed simpler references: the portrait panels could
be interpreted as extra geometry. Each of the six men now has an individual
full-body front view with his head intact and no detached studies or labels.
These are AI isolation edits, not exact crops; the original sheets remain the
reference for turnaround and accessory details. All six images were visually
reviewed and packaged in a verified ZIP. No runtime assets were replaced, and
this handoff does not establish the quality of any generated 3D mesh.
