WORLD 002 / A FIRST-PERSON HAMLET MYSTERY
Summoned to perform.
Drawn into a murder mystery.
01 / BEYOND THE PAGE
You arrive as a travelling actor. The king who summoned you is dead.
A new king sits on the throne, the court prepares its welcome, and your company needs its missing folio. As a travelling actor in Elsinore, you must take the stage while finding out what lies beneath the celebration.
Speak with Hamlet, Ophelia, Horatio, and the royal household. Follow conflicting accounts toward the night watch and the apparition. Someone’s accusation is only a beginning. What did they see, what have they heard, and what can you actually establish?
02 / YOUR CURIOSITY HAS A PART TO PLAY
Explore Elsinore’s courtyard, gardens, and ramparts in first person. Bargain for the missing folio, pursue its carrier, or seek another route. Listen behind a screen—or step forward and ask.
Question witnesses and compare their accounts with physical clues. Protect a confidence or put a source on record. The people you return to remember your promises, discoveries, and breaches of trust.
Rehearse, arrange the company’s performance, and help stage The Mousetrap. Choose how to answer an interruption in front of the court, then compare its reaction with an independent witness.
03 / FOLLOW THE THREAD
Keep track of possessions, people, and open leads. Pin a question to follow as you explore, and return to a journal that separates testimony, physical evidence, and unverified claims.
Recover a script, follow an apparition, cross broken passages, and test your timing in small fencing encounters. A later playable prototype chapter carries the actor aboard the Sea Queen with Hamlet.
Designed for players meeting Hamlet for the first time, with a Shakespeare guide character offering context and direction. Original game episodes sit alongside the play’s events; the story journal explains the literary connections.
