21 October 2026 - A household with different faces

The same face in every apron makes a court feel like a costume cupboard. Four newly supplied civilian packs give Maren, Signe and the travelling actress separate faces, clothing and silhouettes. Two additional household variants broaden the background cast. Ophelia keeps her identity instead of lending her face to the whole village.
The user's Labryinth adventurers have found appropriate roles too. BAC's brown armour, LAC's red equipment and PAN's lighter green clothing distinguish the watch, ship crew and working men. The steward remains a bald civilian. Supporting uniforms can repeat, but the dramatic leads keep their assignments.
Integration required more than moving files: unavailable shaders, eyelash opacity, old animation bindings and a long skirt intended for standing each affected the result. The caravan now fits the actress's dress over her seated knees while preserving her standing performance. Native face controls are retained where supplied; simpler rigs use modest fitted mouth motion, with their limitations recorded. Hidden captures inspect the playable result without taking over the player's mouse. Cast integration notes.
21 October 2026 - Bodies that can carry the performance

A convincing voice loses its force when the speaker has toy-like arms. Four supporting characters now use complete models from the supplied NPC pack. Polonius has an older face and layered court clothing; the gravedigger wears a brown working tunic; Rosencrantz and Guildenstern have distinct faces, builds and civilian outfits.
Their native skeletons retain the artist's hand and limb weighting. Existing animation supplies walking and restrained conversation, while authored mouth and brow shapes give dialogue a better foundation. Six speech cue groups still approximate articulation; this is not facial performance capture.
The caravan exposed a useful distinction: placing a pelvis joint over a bench does not guarantee that the visible body sits on it. Contact now accounts for the cushion, body thickness and the skirt's passage over the front edge. The gravedigger's new hand owns the shovel without competing wrist corrections.
We inspected Labryinth, but its armoured adventurers were not the right civilians for Elsinore. We also have not solved the repeated women by changing hair again: a genuinely different female civilian pack is still needed. Those limits accompany the focused rig, seating and standalone checks. Integration notes.
21 October 2026 - Let Torin tell it
The listener's verdict was clear: the familiar Kokoro voices, even blended, did not deliver Torin's epic character. We have stopped trying to pass resemblance off as the result. The approved narrator is Torin the Traveller himself, generated through ElevenLabs and recorded into the game and both films.
The invitation, the king's death, the Ghost's accusation and the player's investigation now use complete performances. That matters especially for ?The king who invited you is dead?: it is one thought, with no edited join before ?is.? Twenty-six trailer passages share the same narrator across both cuts. The two opening editions preserve their words, with new paragraph timings so the scroll follows the performance. No speech is accelerated to squeeze it into a shot.
This is a focused casting change. Shakespeare remains a separate guide; Hamlet, Gertrude and the other characters keep their existing recordings while their individual auditions remain open. The 42 generated takes reported 2,602 credits. The game plays the finished files offline. Three focused opening tests and a hidden standalone opening walkthrough passed. Both movies passed technical checks and visual review; those results remain distinct from the subjective judgment of acting. Read the production notes.
21 October 2026 - Listening before recasting
A voice can pass every file check and still break the illusion. The recurring breath or added vowel in our narration calls for a listening comparison before more performance tweaks. Six passages now put the existing recordings beside an unblended Kokoro baseline and two ElevenLabs models. They cover intrigue, explanation, quiet observation, accusation and fear.
The listening page keeps music out and matches volume with a constant adjustment. Raw takes remain intact: no breath suppression or automatic tail cuts can hide the fault we need to judge. Twelve ElevenLabs takes reported 1,527 credits. All audio players passed technical checks; whether the acting works is the next decision. The current game and both trailers retain their existing voices until that choice is made. Open the audition notes and listening page.
The first listening decisions favour the new Kokoro invitation and Ghost explanation, and the expressive ElevenLabs Gertrude. The guide and travelling actor still need more distinctive identities. Hamlet's stress must make the family conflict audible: my father, not Claudius. We corrected the pronunciation input that made Kokoro spell M-Y and prepared focused alternate takes. The page now exports choices and notes as a JSON file, preserving earlier browser notes and allowing saved feedback to be restored. The three new ElevenLabs takes reported another 603 credits; no shipped recordings have changed.
The exported feedback confirms the revised Kokoro funeral-cloth speaker and expressive ElevenLabs Gertrude. Hamlet still needs a sharper distinction: YOU have offended MY father. Shakespeare remains a separate casting problem. The requested Torin-like narrator direction is worth auditioning, but our stock Kokoro pipeline cannot simply import the ElevenLabs voice. These preferences are now preserved with the exported file's provenance; no further recordings were generated during feedback ingestion.
The clarification is useful: matching Torin means finding a voice with similar character, not transferring his voice between engines. A focused five-take comparison now places Torin beside the approved Kokoro narrator, two other stock voices and one exploratory blend. Identical words and constant volume adjustment keep attention on resonance, delivery and clean endings. The single new reference reported 119 credits. The user's ear will decide whether the resemblance serves the game.
21 October 2026 - The news reaches the road

A royal invitation should begin as a promise. The watchman breaks that promise before the company reaches Elsinore: King Hamlet is dead. There is no accusation yet. He can repeat a report from the orchard, but cannot pretend to have witnessed it.
This gives the player time to arrive with a question. The company no longer talks as though it will entertain the dead king; the invitation becomes something the new court may honour or disregard. At the gate, the porter explains the brother who now wears the crown and the marriage that has unsettled the household.
Voice continuity matters just as much as plot continuity. The porter had two different stock voices, one shared with the company leader; the leader briefly became someone else during the royal toast. Stable assignments now distinguish the three men, and a catalogue audit checks the recordings against those identities. The chosen Torin narrator remains intact. These are focused continuity repairs, not a claim that stock speech has become human performance. Implementation and limits.
21 October 2026 - Variety has to survive the actual scene

A lineup of different assets did not guarantee a varied courtyard. The women beside the stage and Hamlet still drew from the same poor-peasant costume, so the repeated silhouette overwhelmed their different faces. The player's report exposed what the previous isolated portrait missed.
Those three neighbours now use cook, player and poor-peasant model families. The difference is visible in their bodies, clothes and faces together. This time the focused review looks at the pair beside the stage and the witness near Hamlet in their actual positions, and a regression check verifies the placements after rebuilding the chapter.
