NEWSLETTER PRIVACY

A small list.
A clear purpose.

Here is what happens when you subscribe to studio letters.

What we keep

Your email address, selected topics, subscription status, signup page, and the dates of your signup, consent, and later changes. These records are stored in the site’s hosted database. The studio owner can view them and export active subscriptions.

What it is for

To send Empire Nexus Studios news about the topics you select. A signup records your consent. When email confirmation is enabled, new addresses wait for confirmation before entering the active list, and a welcome message follows. When it is disabled, signups are stored without email verification. Campaigns are prepared separately by the studio.

Your choices

Your private management link lets you change topics or unsubscribe. Save the link shown after signup or email confirmation. Welcome messages also include the management link. Future campaigns should include your personal unsubscribe link. Following that link opens a page where you can confirm your choice; opening a link alone does not unsubscribe you.

Unsubscribed records remain in the database so an ordinary repeat signup cannot reactivate them. They are excluded from active-subscriber exports. You can resubscribe through your private management link with fresh consent. The owner can permanently delete a record from the dashboard.

Keeping the form usable

The form uses a hidden spam field and a short-lived rate limit. It stores a keyed hash derived from the request’s IP address for rate limiting, not the raw address. Expired rate-limit records are removed during subsequent signup requests.

Email delivery

When enabled, the configured email provider receives the address and message needed to deliver confirmation and welcome emails. Delivery failure, complaint, and unsubscribe notifications can update your subscription status. An unsubscribe made here is saved immediately; provider synchronization may be retried if delivery is temporarily unavailable.

Private links and exports

Treat your management link like a password. Subscriber CSV files contain personal information and private links, and should be used only by the studio and its chosen email service to manage the newsletter.
